Interested in joining Rotary?
You should visit our DeSoto club.
It’s a great club to consider when you are looking for a way to be involved more with our community and connect with others in a service capacity. We are friendly and welcoming, and you never know who will show up to a meeting. Location and times here.
You will fit right in.
DeSoto Rotary is casual yet professional, and is considered to be a small to medium sized club. Our members range from community leaders, small business owners, retirees, industry professionals, and even a local magician. Men and women are equally welcome. Current member list here.
You can be involved as little or as much as you like.
Some of our Rotarians just come for breakfast, while other members volunteer regularly, some run fundraisers or get involved in district level leadership and events, and still others leave the country on international projects semi-annually. It’s up to you. Here’s how we work.
You are welcome now.
Your first couple breakfasts are on us. Just click on the “members” section and call one of our club leaders to share your intention, or just show up at the Thorntree Country Club any Thursday morning. We start promptly at 7am and dismiss at 8am.
You will be part of an enormous international community.
Our club is one of 66 clubs located in our district. Our district runs from Ennis on the south end up to the Red River and from Commerce on the east and extends west nearly to Arlington. Our district (5810) is geographically the smallest in Texas. The average club size around the world is 36 members, and there are over 34,000 clubs in 211 countries. There are over 1.2 million Rotary club members!
If you really want to dig deep, check out the Rotary International Website, there is plenty of information!
See you Thursday.
