How We Give Back

The Rotary Club of DeSoto is dedicated to meeting local needs and doing service projects around the world.
Our current local project include:

• Each year our clubs donates $500 to the Desoto Food Pantry located at Hampton Road Baptist Church

• Great Days of Service is a community wide effort to make modifications and do exterior and landscaping work for our elderly and disabled neighbors.  Our club gives $500 annually, as well as a bit of elbow grease to help those in need.

Our current international projects include:

• End Polio Now – Part of an ongoing international initiative to wipe out polio.

• In Nicaragua we support a vocational program for deaf/mute children, kitchens in Granada elementary schools, cancer treatment, and more.

• Project Hand Up – In Kenya we support Project Hand Up with the writing, development, and implementation of HIV/AIDS prevention edutainment curriculum.  Our club helped raise support for a $137,000 grant.  Donate.
